the city itself rules. our experience was pretty miserable. we all fought a lot and decided not to move in together. better to decide now then after signing a lease i suppose. still some what of a bummer though.
first night in savannah, car got broken into, my guitar and my ipod got stolen. we hung out in lots of parks. the city is full of them and they're all really pretty. spanish moss hanging off of tree limbs that already grow over the streets. lots of silly tourists by river st. st patrick's day is the biggest celebration there, so there was more than usual. we tried to find out some type of punk spot, record store, rad book shop, coffee shop, venue, anything, but there was nothing. lots of artsy hipstery places though probably for scad kids (the art school there). so we just walked around a lot and refilled cups from the trash with free coffee in panera, and hung out with a couple kids we knew there who were really sweet.
there's nothing going on as far as shows and stuff like that. but i think it has potential if the right kids moved there who had ambition to start things up (in example: not us - at least not right now).

Shitty about the fights and stolen goods. I'm secretly selfishly glad you guys are sticking around up north though. Savannah is too far away for my tastes heh

you forget the part where i actually dont have a problem with pseudo intellectual artsy kids who wear thick framed glasses in college towns and that was half of the appeal of savannah for me.
its kind of sad, but i'm not really sure how much of this post is a joke.
